Before I left London I made contact with an architect in Glasgow. His team was responsible for building the first ever carbon neutral factory in Sri Lanka. The factory is an absolute beauty and a genius' work. I tracked him down and had a conversation with him and we e-mailed back and forth. I couldn't believe my luck! I never thought I'd actually get to talk to him on the first ring (another dot connected in my maze, PG!). Anyhow, I got all the info I needed from him at the time and he told me to get an architect in Lagos that can do the job. Then I can link both of them up to discuss the details of construction when it's time :-D
God is good.
Monday June 20th
I met with the Lagos architect today (Integrated Projects). It's a fantastic firm and I've worked with them on previous projects so they are definitely my numero uno choice for this job. The particular architect I'd been in touch with from London was not in town so I spoke with his partner. Briefed him on the project and we set up a day to go to Ikorodu (my hometown) to check out the land we'll be using for the factory.
My first meeting in Lagos done! I'm so happy :-D
